A few weeks ago there was a thread about how we picked our board names. On that thread some of us talked about making quilt blocks that represent our "names." I thought I'd start this thread to talk about it!
    Lets talk!

That sound like a good idea. I was thinking of a block that had S's in it for mine. I'll have to give this some thought:)

my block would have to be a friendship star as the name was given to me by my very best friend.

Could it be applique? Or does it have to be pieced?

I've actually made one already :) Hmm ... let me get a picture. got to find the thing first.

It's not exactly a "block" although it could be. I got a free paper-pieced dog house pattern, embroidered the dog on, and embroidered "mom" on the dog house.

I made it as a name badge for a meet and greet that sponsored a while back in Illinois.

The dog house say's Mom. The dog is a pic of my doggies great-grand daddy.
