Let's Play A Little Game Of "Can You Spot The Defect"?

I say just leave it. I once taught a class and when I showed off my sample I had a whole ROW that was off! No one in the class caught it, but I DID! It did give me a great opportunity to tell how to fix that mistake...uh..BEFORE it was sewn into a top, quilted and bound! The teen boys who spend the night and wrap up in it will NEVER KNOW. They just know its warm..and bright. Welcome to the club!

Since when did little monkeys ever behave! If you are going to tie yourself in knots about it...re-do. I think its a quirky subject to begin with...so you could leave it and make a reference to the misbehaving monkeys on the label. Very cute by the way!

When I do that, I sometimes decide to let some things be upside down because when someone uses and looks at a quilt, they do it from all directions. This way, it can please the person who is standing at the foot of the bed AND the person who is lying in the bed with it over their body! :)
Don't worry about it. The design is so small and the person receiving the quilt will think you were supposed to do it that way.

If it looks perfect from 20 feet away riding by on a galloping horse .. then it is just fine!
Home made doesn't always = "Perfect"
There are so many gifts in a quilt.. I gift away almost all the quilts I make.. and I try to make the whole process part of the gift.. the choosing of the fabric, the planning all of it.. and I really try to keep the person in my mind while I put the project together... THAT is just as important a part of the gift as handing the person the finished quilt... You are giving of yourself.... that process is part of your gift as well..
I say, leave it the way it is. it is a work of art and a one of a kind.. just like the baby you made it for.

I love this game, so eager to come to this thread!!
Just finished playing one of those hidden mystery games "13th Skull", love big fish games, I come all excited and now Im just bummed.
I CAN"T see that!! That "flaw" doesn't count! It is tiny print fabric strips. Need my glasses and help to point that one out! Who on earth could possible notice that? bears going in all directions! I've been duped!
Its too tiny Im old.
Grumble... Grumble...Show me a perfect quilt, tell me "Come find it" Grumble grumble.
I always say if you got the time and ability, do it while you can. Cause its gonna bug you, then you end up in a spot where you cant fix it at all.
