    Goodness! I'm always so impressed by people who can applique. Gorgeous work. Is this for someone special (you are special too) or just something you wanted to do? Either way, it's something to be proud of.

    Thank you. It is for me and whoever wants it when I am gone. I enjoy appliqué, but will admit it takes a long time. Choosing the fabrics is very time consuming.

    I have used a lot of metallics over the years and haven't had any problems with them. I actually have some Hoffman California metallics from the late 80's/early 90's that I still have and use, (I do a lot of scrappy quilts and applique). They still look great.
