Library Books Quilt
Does anyone have a link to a pattern similar to this Library Books Quilt? http://www.funquilts.com/gallery/library.html
If not, do you have any tips on how to figure out how to make it? I'm thinking varying width and length strips of about 10 colors for the books, evened out with the background fabric. Then a long vertical sash on either side. Anything I'm missing here?

I agree with your plan to make a simiar quilt.
Here's a pattern for a shelved library. Scroll down a bit.

Maybe draw it on paper. I see strips (horizontal) with varying widths (so the books aren't all the same width) and maybe the two "towers" of books made separately and then joined at the end. That way the fat book in tower one won't be on the same level as the fat book on tower two. I don't know if I'm making sense. BUT I'd draw this one out on paper first. Good luck!

That is the first "library" pattern I have seen. I am going to make a book shelf quilt for my oldest son for Christmas - rather a wall hanging for his den and I have found a couple real nice ones on this board and Wendy Etzel has a book "The Collectible Quilt" where she shows all kinds of trinkets, etc. interspersed with books on shelves. Hope you find what you want.
