    Default Library Quilt

I am almost finished putting together a library quilt top. I will hand quilt it. The background (or rear of the bookcase) is a medium brown. All the “books” are various shades of fabrics. My question is what color thread should I quilt the background. I usually use YLI natural to hand quilt. But I don’t think I want the eye to focus on the quilting of the medium brown background which is what will happen if I use the light thread to quilt it. I’m stumped. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

I have a tendency to use monofilament, but that is because I am not confident enough in my quilting to have it show.

Thank you. That sounds like a winner.

Match the thread to the background, if you aren't necessarily wanting it to be noticed.
