Default Light weight machine for classes.

I just bought a Brother XL2600 light weight machine for hauling around. It was the cheapest I could find, $80.
It is a great small machine. Bought thru Amazon and was delivered in a week.
I only buy machines with drop in bobbins except for my Baby Lock Jane on my long arm table which I do not like at all. It is a pain to even thread let alone the bobbin case. I really regret that purchase.
My only problem is I have a Viking computerized machine with auto foot and I keep forgetting to use the lever to lower the foot on the Brother.
My other Brother is a cheap quilting machine that I got when I first started quilting and it is a workhorse.
I do like Brother machines for price and quality.
My Viking was expensive but I love it too and all the bells and whistles on it.

I do the same thing...forget to use the lever to lower the foot on my Janome Gold when I use it. I also have a Viking Sapphire. I laugh all the time when I forget. It's amazing how fast you get hooked on the automatic foot drop.

Wow, so glad others forget after using a Viking with the auto foot. I take a FW to class and forget all the time. I also forget to hold the threads on the FW as I don't need to do that on my Viking D1 because it cuts the threads. We are creatures of habit.
