    Default Lil Twister tool...

Is there a chart or formula showing how many blocks you need to make specific size quilts? Need to make baby quilt asap and want to use my twister tool again. This time using the 5" tool.

Want to make the quilt aprox 45-45.

    Thanks for the help.

Using some paper draw a 10" square and divide into 4. Place your twister tool on the shape and check the new size. You can also see if a 5" square is too big and reduce.borders are always a good idea as well.

The Li'l Twister makes 3.5" squares with 3" finished blocks. So you would need about 15 squares by 15 squares.

And remember that the tool goes on the seam intersection, not the block. So if you want 15 twister blocks, you would need to join 16 five inch squares. This would yield a 45" quilt.
