We had started to talk about this fantastic quilt and book that is now out of print and very expensive. I bought the book and then found a cd to go along with it.

I just put the cd in the computer and I have very good news for all of you. All the patterns and the placements and the colors are all represented on the cd. The cd cost 9.99 + 2.58 shipping and handling from American Quilters Society.

I feel if you already know how to either hand applique or machine applique you can probably get along just fine with just the cd.

    That is quite a savings.

The book is wonderful and does go into depth about hand quilting and embroidery, etc.

Thank you for posting--I ruined mine in getting it ready to mail out. Perhaps she will think this is a good alternative since I am unable to send the book. Anyone else ruin patterns, books, etc? This was my first experience and I certainly hope the last.

    Hi,

I was wondering if you have looked at the disk yet? I wanted to print out a template from it today but can't figure out how to enlarge it. It gives really nice directions with the disk how to do it but I don't see any of the choices it's giving me. I have windows 7, maybe that's why.
    Have you tried?
