At least your machine still works and that is the main thing. The plastic body on the newer machine can and do scratch easy... If you take it to class or where ever,, it might be helpful to put a blanket or some thing of such around it so it won't fall over. Have a great day, HUggies, Fay
Thanks Fay. Oh yeah it works perfect. Thank goodness that's that most important. You are right about these new plastics.

I stick my Pfaff on the floor behind my seat... my DH loaded it one day for me and sat it on the seat...I would have freaked if I hadn't of seen it sitting up there without a seat belt or anything.

    Sorry for the ouchie.

I put mine in the back seat and use the seatbelt to fasten her in. Works like a charm.

Thanks! My husband is like you're worrying over nothing and I know I am b/c I can't change it. However, it just stinks. Not nearly as bad though as what you described. Ugh that would tick me off. My old machine was metal - looked perfect after 15 years until it went for service and UPS dropped it off a truck.

My Janome Gem is the machine I take to classes and sewdays. It is beat up pretty bad but sews great. I have it in a hard case but the case is bigger then the machine so it still gets banged up. I put pretty stickers on the scratches and banged up spots.

You know what? If our travel machines get banged up...it means they've been used. I think a few of us have some travel scars too;> Stickers or even some hot glue do-dads and buttons or maybe even a band-aid should make the boo-boo better!

My new washing machine scratched when hubby unloaded clothes and sat something on top. I don't think paint should scratch so easily on our new toys. He looked it up on the internet and will order the paint to touch it up. Then he wants us to select something to protect the top.
I cover my machine with clear vinyl even while I sew. No pin scratches. Fabrics glide as if I had a supreme slider. My vinyl is large enough to cover most of the sewing table also.
sorry able your baby's booboo. Hope you can do a touch up and fix her.
