I stick my Pfaff on the floor behind my seat... my DH loaded it one day for me and sat it on the seat...I would have freaked if I hadn't of seen it sitting up there without a seat belt or anything.

My Janome Gem is the machine I take to classes and sewdays. It is beat up pretty bad but sews great. I have it in a hard case but the case is bigger then the machine so it still gets banged up. I put pretty stickers on the scratches and banged up spots.

You know what? If our travel machines get banged up...it means they've been used. I think a few of us have some travel scars too;> Stickers or even some hot glue do-dads and buttons or maybe even a band-aid should make the boo-boo better!

My new washing machine scratched when hubby unloaded clothes and sat something on top. I don't think paint should scratch so easily on our new toys. He looked it up on the internet and will order the paint to touch it up. Then he wants us to select something to protect the top.
I cover my machine with clear vinyl even while I sew. No pin scratches. Fabrics glide as if I had a supreme slider. My vinyl is large enough to cover most of the sewing table also.
