Living up to my Name
Yes indeed, I am stitching and ripping this afternoon. Grandson told me he outgrew his "triangle blanket" which is a flannel and chenille half square triangle baby quilt. Well he is 8, of course he outgrew it, but, he loves it and it is too short he tells me. So I am making a great big one. How hard could stitching half square triangles in a certain order together be? Well, this afternoon, apparently I have forgotten everything! Except how to stitch and rip!! Plus chenille sheds so much it looks like a giant walked in, had a case of dandruff, and walked out! Good thing it is a rainy afternoon and I have no excuse but to muddle on.

You are an awesome gramma!
I may be in the minority, but I try and tell myself, "Sewn seams permanent" - sounds funnier in my head. It is a very rare day when I take the time to try to even find a seam ripper. I would rather try and live with the mistake or make it work somehow.

I'm back on track! This quilt wouldn't lend itself to cutting off and adding on. Grandson lives in Pacific Northwest and we are in the south so sadly he isn't involved in the construction. I'm not a perfectionist but when it gets that far afield I want to get it at least mostly right. Whew!!

I'm no help at all either, but I would have bought a hanger for the too small quilt and put it on the wall. Then started a new big quilt for him. There has got to be some wear on the older one.
