Just proof that life goes on, all of us will move on, sooner or later. I retired June 2nd, another phase of life is opening up, don't want to work a job the rest of my life, want to make lots more quilts.

Here in Tulsa, they haven't started airing the new series yet. I did see the episode with Mary and Maryanne doing pillows, but I think that was last years episode. I know we need new blood as so many of the TV quilters are getting older, but jeez...just as long as the aren't like Pokey Bolton on Quilting Arts. Can't stand her!

Thank you for this info. I just watched the show on PBS and was wondering just that. On their site it says that Mary Fons is a special guest not a co-host, this makes one think that there is more to this then "Liz decided this year to step down and retire". I will miss her on the show.

Oh good lord! Our local PBS station stopped airing Fons & Porter and replaced with Pokey Bolton. I watched 1-1/2 shows and deleted it from my taping schedule. Wish they'd bring back Eleanor Burns, who even though she annoyed me when I watched years ago, at least I learned a lot about quilting and piecing.
