I was getting so frustrated with the Lone Star top I am piecing, getting all those strips to match up right:/ I clicked on many sites online and could not find anything to clarify how to sew the diamond strips together. Then I started to look good ole quilting board here and found a couple links, but none that were as clear as the one you talked about!
So thank you, thank you--you have no idea how MUCH you have eased my frustration. I sewed together 2 separate points in 10 min. that's it!! Little tedious, but hey if it gets the job done then so BE IT!!!
Now I have to go thank that pers0n with the lovely tutorial:):)
Have a GREAT day!!

You still have bias edges and need to be careful but not nearly as careful as you would if you cut each diamond seperately.
I had next to no stretching if I was careful and I didn't use any starch at all.
