Okay, so I was really inspired by Kathleen Ware and thought I might try my hand at....A Lonestar Quilt.

So I started looking for tutorials and all that jazz. Does anyone have a suggestion? The one I've found so far it this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listi...&condition=all

It's by Jackie Robinson, but before I fork over $30 I thought I would see if you guys have any suggestions.

    Thank you in advance!

Either way, you can't wrong, but Jan's book is fabulous just to have. ;-)

Just looked - used on Amazon for $11 (a.i.)

I've made 4 using either of those 2 methods, but the most fun is in coming up with a really cool setting, something out of the ordinary.

Jan Krentz is a modern instructor for Lonestar Quilts. She provides very detailed instructions and tips. Here is a link to her book:

Perhaps a bottle of wine or other spirits may be neccessary - I have made them several times and I still get the poofy middle - I have not given up just going to wait a while. Good luck...Otis

Oh Michael...I can't wait to see what you come up with! I have quilted several...I just did one a couple weeks ago for someone local...I can't post pics because he is putting it in a show...but it was really pretty.
But he used the quilt smart method....perfect peicing becuase it is foundation pieced. So it you are worried about the bias edges...or it getting wonky you may want to to start with that method.

    Good luck!

redroosterfabrics.com has a smaller lonestar. I've seen more on some of the other fabric manufacturers sites too.
