    I am a new LA'r and I have been learning as I go. Doing my own and for charity. I have loaded a quilt sideways to minimize the passes and learned that the pattern doesn't look right to me either. So now I take the time to load it top to bottom. But in your case, I may not have realized which was the top. So next time like others have posted, be sure to let your LA'r know which way you want it. I have not done any for hire (not sure I ever want to) but WOW $27 is way too cheap. I love doing the quilting but it takes a lot of time just to load a queen size! Probably why I don't do it for hire, my time is too valuable and I would charge too much! I have quilted for friends for free, though.

    I longarm for others and always ask them to put a pin in the center of the top of their quilt.

    Sometimes it is hard for us to tell.

    Maybe would be a good idea to let your longarm person know you have marked the center-top of your quilt if she doesn't ask.

    Barbara, I've look at it from every angle and it doeesn't loo obvious that this was quilted in the wrong diredtion. I think it was probably an honest mistake. If you feel the quilter didn't follow your directions I would tell her and she what she offers you for a discount on the next quilt before changing quilters, unless you aren't happy with her over all work. If you feel disappointed about the quilt, gift it or donate it and make a new one for you. {{{HUGS}}}

    If I was quilting this quilt, I would have had the design going the other way, ie: right to left. If you are happy, that is all that matters. If it bothers you, please talk with the quilter before having another one done!

    I really like it the way it is but then it is your call, not mine! It is beautiful work indeed! Wow the price, I can't believe how reasonable.
