I bought an HQ16 after a quilt show--it was gently used, had been used in classes. Got the machine with stitch regulator and the basic table. The representative came to my home for set-up. It cost me about $7000 2 years ago. Totally worth it. And yes, I was planning this purchase so I did take on a part time job to save money for it--did not dip into the budget!

I want a long arm too! That's something I'm striving for in the near future!

I usually make the quilt in sections to make quilting easier and then sew it together and hand stitch the seams on the back side. I hate wrestling a heavy quilt on my home sewing machine.

My HQ16 was gently used by a very wonderful lady who also taught me how to use my Singer Quantum 6000 for embroidery when we went to pick up the HQ16. I paid $3000 for it without the frame as I already had a Grace Pinnace frame.
It is a wonderful machine. I love it.
Look on the HQ 15 website and the Home Quilting Machine website for used machines.

I have a Tin Lizzie 18 LS..and I love it! My DH and I went to a show in Virgina about 2 years ago. We had been looking at them for a few years. We were walking around the show..and he said...lets stop and talk to this guy. We stopped at the booth and the man (Ernie, the owner) handed me a peice of paper , I looked at it and it was the bill of sale. Isn't he a prince.
    Happy quilting
