    They are really pretty. Make them into a quilt or wall hanging. The person who began them meant them to be something. Can't help with the washing advice, but I am sure someone can.

    What a great find. I usually soak mine in Oxyclean in a bowl so far not problems. The only thing I have found is there is an awful smell that comes from the old fabric. I never put them in the machine or dryer.

    They remind me of my first "quilt".
    I was given my grandmothers butterflys that she had cut and started to stitch them to muslim. I follered her buttonhole stitch around each one and put on the antenna. Turned it into a quilt with sashing inbetween blocks. She loved it. And I was hooked~!
    Oxy would be my thought and soak in bathtub, drying on white towels.
