Check with the Handiquilter company itself and also go out on u-tube and see what you can find. I added a stitch regulator to my HQ Avante 18 and it took me less than 10 minutes and it works fine but you need to check with HQ and u-tube. I had a quilt shop quote me 225 labor to install it and needless to say they didn't get my business nor will they get my business in the future. Another shop told me on the phone I could do it and to look at u-tube. Needless to say I bought the part from them and they appreciated my doing so. THat shop is for helping people not gouging them and they will get my future business as well even though they are a good hours drive from me where the other is only 20 minutes.

I’d check with HQ directly giving them the serial number of your machine.
