    Default Looking for advice

I want to make a basker liner for a bike basket but I would like it to have handles so it can also be a tote bag when I leave my bike. Does anyone know of a pattern or tutorial for something like this? I googled and found some pics but no tutorial or pattern. Thanks.

I think I would just find a simple tote pattern and use it to make a tote just the right size for the basket. Does the basket have a shape which would permit that? (Not a weird shape, is what I mean.) Most of the simple tote patterns are easy to adjust to make wider, shorter, taller, etc.

Yes! I have an answer to this one! This one is designed specifically for a bike basket. http://shellyssewingshrapnel.blogspo...rtote-bag.html

Here is a site with 50+ free patterns. I'm sure one of them would work.

That is a beautiful bike basket bag! I am wondering if a clothesline bowl with handles would be good for a carrier also?

This is one of those times that I wish there was an "Applause" button here on the QB! Instead, I bow to you (even though you can't see me!)

Thank you. I saw that one but I didn't think it would work for the type of basket I want since it is neither square nor rectangular and changes width . To be honest I also didn't understand that tutorial. Maybe I will use some scraps and attempt it. I also found this one http://www.feelingstitchy.com/2012/0...#disqus_thread I guess I am kind of clueless with all of this because I don't get that one either. I wonder if there are others that have as much of a hard time as I do. Sometimes I feel like I should quit sewing and quilting because it makes me feel dumb.
