I'm going to be making a quilt for my son when he graduates in May from the seminary & I would like to put some bible verses on it along with the blocks that have the seasons of the church. I have seen these many times but of course now when I want to get some I can't find them. Keepsake had some but it was just one big block & I know there are some out there that have one line or so in a rectangle shape. Does any know who has these? I haven't found them in any of the catalogs I have. Thanks!

I went to the search button at the top of this page, clicked on it, and typed "Bible" in the box ... this was a very interesting link, but you might find others that interest you. oh, did I forget to say that after you type in the words you want the site to search for, you have to click on "go" or "search" ... hope you find what you are looking for <wave>

I have some of the fabric with Bible verses printed on it. The selvedge has 'www.blockpartystudios.com' on it. I haven't checked this out, but will. Also, I will look for the shop where I purchased the fabric. I think they are online. I'll be back in a couple of minutes...

Addition: the web site is a store - it has a tab - 'hand printed fabric' - that will take you to their selection. I think I counted 11 panels with Bible references, among other panels.

That appears to be a better source than the shop, although you could call. Their web site does not mention the panels. The shop is 'Seams To Be Quilts' in Plattesmouth, NE.

I was just going to say try Block Party Studios but Quilt Mom beat me to it. They have several different great panels with verses on them.

Fritzy, I have been thinking about the seasons of the church ides... Have you checked with your pastor? Sometimes the church publisher has a book of patterns for banners or quilt blocks that follow the seasons or represent Bible stories. Concordia House has had something like that. I seem to remember Cokesbury doing it, too. (But I do not know if the publications are current.) It would be worth a shot. Your pastor probably gets catalogs of books available through your denomination. Or go to CBD (Christianbook.com.) They have a book called Church Banner Designs and one called Luminescent Banner Designs... These might give you some ideas.
