There is a small quilt shop on Hwy 11 coming out of Mt. Sterling towards Flemingsburg, Ky. I live in Fleming county. Don't get a lot of chances to quilt but love checking in and seeing all the beautiful quilts and the talent here is amazing. The people.......Not enough words to describe the kind caring people that gather here.

I'm not what you call overly sociable. Sadly, at 62 I learned that friends are difficult to find and sometimes harder to keep. I'm not what you call lonely, just would like someone who shares my joy of quilting and giving to others.
And horror or horrors, I've found only 1 quilt shop around here. Can you believe that? Just one!
So, if you live around Madison Co. and would like to make acquaintances, let me know. Maybe you know where there are other quilt shops nearby. With the cost of gas, a trip to Lexington is a luxury I really can't afford these days.

Join the club! I think I now have many more on-line friends than local friends. When I retired I lost touch with work friends, they're still busy with working and their lives and my best friend passed away a few years ago. Consider everyone on this site a friend.

Here's wishing I lived closer to you all, I don't get much of a chance to quilt lately, but I am hoping to change that soon, I am willing to be a board friend, but am to far away to have coffee in person, but can have coffee and think of all my board quilting pals, good luck with your search for a close buy quilting buddy
