I live in Kentucky, Madison Co. and I would like to know if there are any on here from this area? We haven't been here very long, less than a year and I really love the place, the people, the scenery. Just wish I had a quilting buddy close by that I could hang out with occasionally.
I'm not what you call overly sociable. Sadly, at 62 I learned that friends are difficult to find and sometimes harder to keep. I'm not what you call lonely, just would like someone who shares my joy of quilting and giving to others.
And horror or horrors, I've found only 1 quilt shop around here. Can you believe that? Just one!
So, if you live around Madison Co. and would like to make acquaintances, let me know. Maybe you know where there are other quilt shops nearby. With the cost of gas, a trip to Lexington is a luxury I really can't afford these days.

Madison Co. isn't that down by Richmond? I'm up here in Gallatin county, a little far for coffee in the morning. But I'd be happy to be your friend, and so would the rest of the gal's on this board.

We live too far apart or I would love to be your quilting friend. I live on the west side of Kentucky lake in Calloway county. I'm sure there has got to be someone on the QB that lives close to you.

Well, I think we can just be friends anyway. Might just do all our communicating on this board, but hey, whatever works, ya know!

I read your post and wondered if I had posted that myself. I'm in the same boat as you, only I live in Oregon. Yes, only 1 LQS here too. I can't be close for us to hang out with, but I am always here! Long distance buddies are great to have. I have one friend whom I've never met, but she feels like a sister and she lives in Australia! In some ways, I value her friendship more than others that I have met over the years. Kick it around in your mind for a bit, but I would really enjoy being considered a buddy to you! :-)
