Looking for cutting Ruler
Hope you all can help me find a ruler I saw on here and now I can't remember the name. It was made in two different sizes and had a handle on it and it locked down on the fabric so it wouldn't slip. I have a bad left shoulder and thought this would be good for me because you don't have to put the pressure down on it as you have to do with traditional ones. Hope I have given enough info that someone remembers the ruler. Thanks gals, you are like a search team for quilting.
P.S. I do remember that someone posted that they wished it had measuring marks on it. It is strictly for cutting. You use your mat and another ruler to do the measuring.

spstout, thank you so much for the info. May I ask where you bought yours? I don't think not having a ruler on them is that important do you? I just know I liked what I saw and then didn't save it like a dummy

I just used mine yesterday. It does not have measurement markings but it doesn't matter. I used it on top of my ruler. I set up my ruler where I wanted it, then placed it on top of my ruler. I thought it worked really well. I was cutting full length strips and was able to cut the first half, lift the Slidelock, move it to the other end of the ruler, and continue my cut. My husband said if he had known about it earlier, he would have bought it for me!!! That would have saved him HOURS of help holding my ruler over the years.

I use mine on top of the ruler. It used to be named Rule Steady. Here is the website:http://quiltersslidelock.com/
I haven't used the tinted one but I've read it helps a lot. I use it for safety. I don't cut with a rotary cutter without a safety tool in place. It does hold the ruler tightly in place. I have all sizes.

Thanks gals for all of your info. I just ordered both sizes in the artic ice. I think I will like them from all the info they show. A gal can't have too many toys when it comes to sewing. LOL
