Default Looking for demin charm pack

I would love to make a picnic rag quilt using demin as the back fabric. I have searched all over looking for denim charm packs with no success.

    Any ideas where to look?

    Thank you so much.

It never even occurred to me that this might be a possibility.

I cut my own from old jeans - but one can buy yardage - then one could cut whatever size squares/pieces one wanted.

If you do cut up old jeans - keep the squares from each pair of jeans together until you use them - there is a wide variation in colors and textures of denim.

I suppose you could buy some used jeans (in the biggest sizes you can find) at Goodwill and other thrift stores.

I asked a few friends and to keep their old jeans for me and I got more than I needed.. Even used jeans have good fabric that can be re-used! Some I used the inside fabric for a good variety of colors.

My local thrift stores sell packages of denim squares. Check your local thrift stores to see if they do or wait to a special sale day and stuff a bag with jeans for a minimal cost.

Usually quilters usually buy denim jeans in resale stores. Looks like Esty is the place to buy some:

I think it would be less costly to buy denim by the yard and cut it up than the etsy sites I looked at.
