My brother loves to fish! I am making him a quilt for his birthday and thought a fish themed one would be nice. He also loves Nascar!! So I will check into something like that too. Anyone have any easy ideas for a man's quilt using one of these? Thanks for your ideas and thoughts!

Nascar on the front, fishing on the back? Or vice/versa? :D:D:D

gee I didn't think of that but I believe it's the way to go. I've never done one tho. Is it hard to hand quilt thru the seams, do you think?

Here's a small, fun, silly little fish pattern I made years ago.

    Jan in VA

It's not what it appears, so if you are interested, PM me for a pattern.

Here's a child's quilt (that is still not finished). I don't know if you could adapt it for an adult quilt.

Who is his favorite driver? Some have their own fabric and there are some general Nascar fabrics also. I've made several.

There are many great fish patterns and fabrics out there too. Do you prefer pieced or applique?

I don't know anything about Nascar :( I'll try to find out so thanks for that tip. He's met a bunch of them. I can do either but time will be a factor because I procrastinate- and you won't hear me admit that too often :) I'm thinking I'm doing good to be planning already. The last one I made for my other brother was done in 3 weeks but my back hurt so bad and my fingers barely moved afterwards so I don't want to do that again. I also was sewing the binding on the 5 hour trip to his birthday party- thank goodness I wasn't driving :)

I googled free fish patterns but didn't see anything that just said "make me now" :) I love
Jan's quilt above but I don't like all the little pieces and corners. I loose interest with too complicated patterns.
