I am handquilting a D9P and had and still have plenty of time to think about a motiv for the border.
I came up with the idea to do some writing (blending in quilting thread and one will have to look for the words) instead of a motive.
The quilt measures 100 x 100 and capital letters would get to be about 3" high, so plenty of space for a poem.
Looked through tons of pages (instead of quilting....) and cant come up with something funny.

Could relate to Mother/son, graduating from university (hopefully soon) , computerscience, bachelor (with lovely girlfriend) , sleep and a hard time to get up in the morning.

would love to get some suggestions.

On the left are a lot of subjects, strangely there is 'daughters' but not a 'sons' subject.

Those are some great ones! ..... and I really suggest you include the credit to who first penned them. The first is from Dr. Seuss ..... I often give that book to grads, so you might want to include it. It's well received and I know a couple who keep it out on display in their office!

I fully agree with you........but I had something funnier, even something silly in mind. As the writing will blend in with the border I wonder how long it will take my son to "find" it.
We have a great relationship and share the same sense of humor, I am sure he would enjoy it.
