Thank you everyone for your ideas. I plan to do the diagonal quilting as suggested by a few of you.

Although I started this thread looking for quilting ideas, the quilt in the picture is not mine. That was posted by Melanie and it is beautiful!! When I first saw the picture, I thought for a second that it was my quilt!! Then I realized that I had used the picture for inspiration when making mine. Melanie, did you post this pic before? I think I printed my copy from an internet google images search and kept it on my sewing table while doing mine. Thank you so much for the inspiration.

hahah, it's not mine either, i just did a google search and that's what came up. I guess I should have just posted the link not to confuse anyone, but I thought this would be easier.

Your D9P is very nice. On mine I just stitched in the ditch. Whatever you decide will be great!

I would do a diagonal stitch across it also but only about 2/3 of it, then turn the quilt and do some more diagonal stitch lines going toward your last one. gives the quilt more interest even though it's straight lines.

Same here, I guess that is why it is called disappearing 9patch. Gorgeous quilt and those colors are wonderful together.
