Help!!! I posted this question on a Facebook quilting group and will do so here also. I would love to see close up pictures of log cabin quilts quilted on domestic machines. Also, how do you chose a color to machine quilt your sampler quilts?

I don't know what to say about thread color. It would depend on the colors in the sampler. Are they coordinated or scrappy?

I made one log cabin quilt. I marked the back of the quilt with a Baptist fan and quilted it on my Bernina 1530.

I like a traditional Baptist Fan quilting on Log Cabin. I think they have a version of this for machine quilt? As for thread colour on a sampler, I go with a colour that matches the colour I have the most of.

I've only made two Log Cabins and I quilted both by hand. As to thread color, I go with what pleases my eyes. I mostly go with a cream, or off white. I used to use stark white, but it seems to glare and take away from the piecing.
