Make a new post and put Need LA Quilter who uses metallic thread as the title. The mods may prefer you do that in the classified's area or you can look at the list of longarm quilters who are members of this board and PM a bunch of them. charismah, as previously suggested, is one of them.

These are beautiful quilts. Good luck in finding someone who uses metallic thread. When I use metallic thread I have to slow down and use a top stitch needle. I have found the metallic by Superior to not break. Send pics!

metallic threads are not made to be used in 'high-speed' machines- it stretches and breaks from the speed of the machine-
some long-armer's have spent hours and hours working with them and found ways around the problems- and you usually pay for that- using metallic thread for your quilting can double the quilting charge.--they increase the time/work requirements ALOT.
if you really want metallic (highlights) on the top of your quilt maybe you could add (embellish) after the quilt is quilted.
if you do not mind paying (alot more) there are quilters out there who can accomplish what you want- although rayon or silk threads that have a fabulous sheen may be a better alternative

Sometimes polyester blends and just the right shade give the same effect. Even with out using a metalic thread, choosing just the right color can enhance it.
