We will be going on vacation in a few days and while DH is fishing I want to find all the LQS around Astoria! Anyone got any recommendations?

There are 2 in Astoria, but my favorite is the one down the highway in Cannon Beach.

We're off to Long Beach this week, and will drive down to Manzanita as well. What's the name of the one in Cannon Beach? Also, I just read of an interesting woman in Astoria who does really nice things with fabric. It's in one of the newer quilt mags.

It's called Center Diamond. Just south of the downtown area.

Do you own a GPS? There is an Internet site called POI Factory (point of interest). You can down load a POI file to a GPS and they have one (file) with over 4000 quilt/fabric stores across the U.S.

Thanks UglyCook, my daughter is wanting to go to Cannon Beach one day. Will have to stop in there. kristen0112, that's great! my DH is a gps nut, I found that site, downloaded a few things that might interest him too. As soon as he gets home he can play with it!
I am putting these in my phone also as notes.

the POI factory found that the closest quilt shop to us is in Colorado!!! I downloaded an app on my phone that showed me 2 in Cannon beach and one in Longbeach. It did not show the two in Astoria that someone mentioned. Guess the best way is still good ole word of mouth! I am willing to drive a good hour or more for a great LQS, anyone else know of any?
