    Default Looking for Material

I know this will be a far fetched idea but I am looking for 9 or 10 yards of a backing fabric that goes with the quilt Harvest Spice. The company is Andover. Started this quilt approx in 2007 or 2008 and it was a block of the month thing and by the time I got the blocks done the quilt shop had gone out of business and never got the backing fabric to finish it. 2016 is the year that I plan on finishing projects that are not finished. So here is hoping that I can find the material to finish it.

The name Harvest Spice makes me think of fall. I would think that any blender of a fall color would go nicely. Do you have a picture of the top? That might help a bit.

    Lightbulb Maybe an idea...

I have used older lines, fat quarter bundles, to make quilts but then needed yardage to make sashings, border and backing. I had good luck with finding yardage from newer lines by the same manufacturer as they might still use similar colors, so Andover in your case, or taking the top into quilt shops and buying tone on tone by matching it to go with it. The latter works well for backing fabric as it is not directly next to the front fabric when the quilt is in use.

If you search Andover Harvest Spice quilt there are many images. And this fabric available on Etsy seems to be part of the fabric line: https://www.etsy.com/listing/3130799...t-spice-cotton

the quilt is beautiful. have you considered just using the very best muslin you can find? I use that for all my quilts. generations of quilters have done that. I usually buy unbleached 108" muslin, then bleach it however much I want for any quilt.

A yellow or gold would work nicely, don't you think?

Hobby Lobby has 108" backing in a gold color that would work beautifully. It is available at 40percent off as well!
