Does anyone know if this block has a name...and what it might be? It's from a quilt designed by Mary McCarthy and Pam Buda of Heartspun Quilts that was in the June 2007 issue of BH&G American Patchwork and Quilting magazine. I want to do an adaptation of their pattern as a Christmas gift and would really like to know if the block has a name. Thanks so much.

The closest one to that in my book also has triangles in the outside corners. That one is not in there!!

I just did one from The Farmers Wife. It was called Bow Tie...

It looks like a bow tie to me, too, with maybe a different than usual arrangement of color.
