Yes all of my quilt blocks create great secondary patterns. I love to play with them with changing colors and you get new looks. I'll post the tutorial when I get it done.

this is the original quilt block

QuiltnNan's comment that the second looks Moroccan is what I was thinking. I think the second one always looks like it has candy wrapped in each of the 4 corners. Or an aerial view of a formal English garden with a center fountain. "British Sweeties" or "Fountain in London" or "Moroccan Maze"?
Thanks for the compliment Zo I appreciate all the name ideas. Still thinking about them LOL

Okay still thinking about the first one but have decided on the second one.

I called the second one drum roll pleeaassee....... Butterfly Lantern It looks like butterflies flitting around a lantern to me.

Not sure on the first one yet. The 4 corners look like Pacman to me LOL so maybe Pacman in the Park lol looks like a city town park with benches to sit on and such. still pondering.

How about "Life in Pieces". I love the design and the colors of both! You are very creative!

I would call the first one limoncello, the yellow reminds me of lemons. The second looks like a tile, maybe call it Tuscan Delight.

They both remind me of formal gardens somehow. Bellingrath?

The minute I saw #1 the name Wink-a-doodle popped into my head.....just reminds me of 4 people playfully winking at one another.

#2 I would name Your Turn because it reminds me of 4 people at a table playing cards.
