I only have the border left on a Mystery Quilt. I've looked at dozens of alternatives, but I REALLY want to use the same Patrick Lose black sunstreaks that is in the quilt. I figure I need about 1 1/2 yards. I am looking for it in regular fabric, not the flannel. Here is a picture of what I need. Thanks!!

I did a search using Google but couldn't find any black in the Sunstreaks. I did, however, find a Patrick Lose black that is fairly close by going to http://www.fabshophop.com/fabsearch.asp

Search for "Patrick Lose" and on page 2 the second fabric from the bottom, would that work in lieu of? It returned apprx 20 pages and I didn't go through just the first three or so.

    Good Luck!

Did you find what you were looking for? I did a bit more research and found out that Patrick Lose actually lives in Phoenix and we attended the same high school in Tucson. Small world!

Patrick Lose has a website - maybe go there and send him a note? Maybe Patrick can tell you where it's still sold?

This store has a 'black' but I don't know if it's what you are looking for: http://www.quiltaway.com/Lose.htm

    Patrick's website: http://www.patricklose.net/

Google search using Patrick Lose fabrics:

I emailed Specialty Quilts, and they no longer carry the fabric.
:( . I am fiddling with new options for the final border; I have to figure out yardage, as I have a small piece left of the sunstreaks that may work. I didn't know he went to school in Tucson. WOW! Me too...It is a small world, isn't it?
The Tucson Quilt Show is coming up this weekend, and I think I will take the quilt with me...I may find options and fabric I hadn't thought of yet! Thanks for the links, I'm following them all! :)

And I am going to call Phyllis at Quilter's Desert Patch...she tends to have great treasures!

Phyllis didn't have the fabric either, and I didn't find it at the show (found LOTS of other goodies!).
I have found another black fabric that will work. And with quilting, who will know? :)

Thanks again to everyone for helping to look!

I had to laugh at myself because when Patrick sent that note to me I was a bit confused  His bio says he grew up in the mid-west but not in Arizona. I called his assistant Gary and found out that Patrick's comment 'didn't I meet you at Catalina" was in fact the quilt shop in Catalina (before it moved way out!). He didn't attended Catalina High he was at the quilt shop in Catalina....LOL TOO FUNNY!!

He has a retreat coming up in Phoenix, Iowa & Nevada in case anyone is interested: http://www.patricklose.net/pwp/retreats.html

Try emailing The Quilt Place. I think I've seen it there before. Here's their website. http://www.thequiltplace.com/
