Has anyone seen a pattern to make a play mat for hot wheel type cars? My grandson got one for Christmas that he really likes, but it is made out of cheap, thin plastic and my daughter says it is already ripping up.
    Thanks,
    Carol B

I have a 1 yd piece of fabric that's been hemmed all around that is a printed play mat for cars. If you'd like to pm me with your address I'll send it to you. My daughter used it when she was little as a town for her tiny dolls but she's 11 now and hasn't played with it for years.
We have a free home and our dog lives outside.

why not just use the one that your grandson already has as a pattern to make him one.

Or here are a few links to different ones that you could get ideas from.

Thanks for those links. Those are so cute. I can't use his, though that was a good idea, because he's 600 miles away and from what daughter said it wouldn't be worth mailing. lol.
Rapture lady,I sent you a PM, and again thanks for your generous offer!

That is adorable! I have to make one of those for him for Christmas or birthday. Maybe make the front side with some kind of transportation fabric, and make the backside with little roads on it. And put pockets somewhere to hold some cars.....stop me now, I'm on a roll! lol

You could start with a panel ~ there are a few here: http://www.bugfabric.com/transportation.htm
