everything we've seen so far points to its being one individual's adaptation of a wedding ring. The adaptation was very likely inspired by the Friendship Wreath/Knot. however, the circles are bigger and more "open" than in the wreath. also the arrows point inward so the circles touch each other.
i think they're both pretty. i feel an adaptation of my own comin' on. :wink:

the seam allowance should show up when you open the file. to make sure they show up when you print it, click on the "Advanced" button in Acrobat Reader and put a check next to "print as image". set it to the highest dpi.
also, to make sure the templates come out the right size, set page scaling to "none"

quiltcrazy, what is the quilting design? I can see along the outside of quilt,but how did they do the inside? I would love to do a reproduction quilt with that pattern!! I love those old traditional patterns.
