I am looking for a pattern called Cleopatra's Fan. I will purchase and do not want to infringe on copyright in any way. It has flying geese units in the center and 4 fan blocks in each corner with some appliqued fronds beside the geese units. Cannot remember which book I saw it in. There is a picture of it on the web. Any help would be appreciated. I just want to know where to buy the pattern.

I saw a few different versions of Cleopatra's fan online...

if that is the one - maybe you can contact the person that made it to ask what book it came out of?

There was another one I saw that was called a Cleopatra's Fan or mohawk trail but I don't think that was even remotely it. I think it is the second one since it has the flying geese...

JanieW - I bet that is - the one in the middle looks like the one I thought it was. Good eyes - and great price on the used books! It is a gorgeous quilt - I am so tempted but know that my quilty plate has overflowed in to a pick up truck bed. lol
    Good find!

    Hi yarn or fabric.

I was so glad you found the picture. It is a really neat quilt. Now I am tempted. I love your expression "quilty plate". Mine is too full too but I have learned the hard way if I see something I like and don't get it, then I usually regret it. A book/pattern can be put away for a rainy day.

Thanks so much to trying to help. I appreciate your time. The pattern is in a book of Classic Quilts for paper piecing (something like that!) These two are also beautiful and I will look for a deal on the templates when I am in Paducah this April - my week of buying whatever I want for quilting! I save all year for it. Do you go?
