There was a picture of a beautiful scrappy quilt posted either today or yesterday. It had two strips of fabric sewn together then cut on each end at a 45degree angle and a white triangle sewn on. 3 of these strips made up a block. Then every other block was turned: across, up and down, across, up and down, etc. It was so pretty I wanted to ask what the pattern was but had to go to class. Now I can't find it. I've looked everywhere, done a search and still can't find it. I don't remember who posted it or what the thread was called.

Hi, was it the scrap quilt by Scrapquilter posted earlier today. It was a couple of stripes that are cut at 45 degrees on the ends and with a white triangle then. If this is the right one she said it was called weed whacker.

That sounds like it, thanks. I'll look it up. I tried by quilt name and by board name and still can't find it.

I think it was Weed Wacker at quiltville.com Very scrappy and beautiful! I put it on my list of to-do's. I'm thinking batik scraps with black.

Bonnie Hunter can't be beat when it comes to scrappy quilt patterns and most of her great ones are free! She is very generous with her quilt patterns.
