    What I really need is a Kitty Toe Shield - my cat likes to get up close and personal when I'm trying to cut with my rotary cutter.

    I have something similar with a lip called Olipfa. I use it for my first straight edge on a raw cut of fabric and sometimes for my widths. Very convenient.

    You can buy the acrylic piece that sticks on the length of the ruler. You can find them at most quilt shops.
