I agree, I have all her geese rulers as well and there is very little waste.

I have several different rulers for flying geese and find Eleanor burns to be the best and easiest to use, and there is very little waste.

You make a lot of geese so why not have the tools that work for you.

I totally agree. I also have all her flying honkers rulers and all were bought on sale or with a coupon. Easy to use and I love having umpteen sizes ready to go.

I keep my "daily" rulers handy in my workspace; all the rest are in a see-through container. Easy to find and remember to use.

I buy any new ruler to try it out. That is the only way to know if it is a new tool that will save time, make it easier or be fun to use. I don't pay attention to the reviews of you don't need it. I'm not a make do type person when it comes to quilting, that's not fun for me.

You can get the eleanor burns rulers when 40-50% off at joanns, very economical. Her method of geese is the least wasteful, easiest, and most accurate of any method I know LOL...

I have made hundreds of flying geese using EB method and I don't own any of her rulers. It is the only method that you can see that your seam is lining up properly and if it not, then you can make the tiny correction and you will have 4 perfect flying geese. It is a lot less waste then if you snowballed the corners (cut squares and stitch down the center). Now there is waste because you have to trim a 1/4" in from your seam. I have also made them in different sizes than her rulers would provide.

You make 4 at a time using two large squares of different sizes. There is a formula for figuring the size squares to use.
The ruler is used to square up the geese so they are perfect. Some sizes waste a little and others no waste.
