I am looking for a sewing retreat in either England or Scotland. Does anybody have any suggestions?

I just went on line and googled both "sewing retreats in England and Scotland" and "Quilting retreats in England and Scotland", and I came up with lists of courses available. Don't know what exactly you're looking for, but get on Google, and have at it!

Another alternative would be to go to eBay UK and see if there are any recent quilting magazines in bulk for sale. They would have ads.

Or go to BBC UK on line, and check out the classified. (Just google "BBC" and then choose the version you want -- you'll want the UK edition.)

    Or try these web sites:

    http://www.visitbritain.com/

    http://www.enjoyengland.com/

    http://www.visitbritain.org/

    http://www.info.com/uk%20tourist%20o...FSY0QgodvE8fnA

Lots and lots of links off this last site.

Here are a couple of organized Sewing Groups who would know about shows and events:

    http://www.isew.co.uk/

    http://www.thesewingforum.co.uk/

And here is the web site for the Quilter's Guild of the UK:

    http://www.quiltersguild.org.uk/

That should be enough to get you started! You'd be visiting my favorite island, you know!

    Cheers!
