At some point since Friday, I ran across a post that had a link for a quilt pattern the has spinning or shooting stars. (I'm sorry I don't know the exact name.) Someone had made this quilt in "flag" material with a white background and it was beautiful! I thought I had printed the instructions but can't find them and now I can't find the link again. I've looked thru my browser history and at all the posts I've viewed but nothing is coming up. I know this is not much direction but if anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it!!!!

    Thanks!

Thank you! I've been quilting for a while but just recently started getting serious about it. Now I'm hooked! I found the "flag" material at Walmart and wanted to buy some but didn't know what I would do with it. Then I saw this quilt and made out of the exact material!!! I've seen so many beautiful quilts on this forum and I've tried to bookmark as I find them but I must have missed this one.

Thanks to everyone for all the posts. All the information is so helpful.

You can also do a search here for spinning star or shooting star and maybe it will be there if it was posted by one of these wonderful people.

I did try to search but didn't find it. I probably don't have the correct name which makes it even harder to find! lol

Do a search for spin star. Look through them and see if it's there.
Here's a tutorial if this is one you could use the fabric you want.

I found it!!!! Thank you all so much for your help. And Susiequilt, thank you for the link. I loved the pattern.
Here is the link to the one I was looking for. In the quilt I saw, all the "Swirlys" are "flag" material with an alternating navy/flag star in the center, white background and red border. Beautiful. You can see it when you look at the pattern. http://quiltpatterns.s3.amazonaws.com/Swirlygig.pdf
