Default Looking for suggestions - Christmas stocking

    Hi all,
I haven't been on in a long time and I have a problem. Christmas is coming and I have a new grandchild. Four years ago I posted a thread entitled My Original Stockings for the new family. I'm working too much and have not been able to find the "centerpiece" for a new stocking for little Simon. Does anyone have an idea - a little mini masterpiece - for the new guy? I don't do applique. Just piecing. I know this is the last one for this family and I don't want to just toss it off. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Paper piecing is in my book of tricks. That feathered star measured 5" square and anything bigger won't work. Help!

can you give an iou, he's just a baby, and you want it to be special.
Then after the holidays, you can relax and do it then.

MSQC has a stocking pattern. It was in the Christmas 2014 Block. It doesn't look like it would take too much time Then you will be covered this year and continue to work on the keepsake one. The knitted one is gorgeous so keep working on that one too

If you don't mind paper piecing here are links to a few sites with free small patterns. Right now Quilters Newsletter has free (but not for long) PP Christmas Surprise, most of the blocks are 3-4". Make sure you show us what you decide! Good luck!

This is a two tone star that is 6 inch PP. Maybe you could reduce the size?

All I know if you stuff it with a Christmas rabbit it would help fill it up. Maybe a patchwork rabbit peeking out of the top.
