Default Looking at the Viking SE LE - tell me

Two years ago my friend went to look at the Diamond. She ended up buying it and I ended up playing with a SE LE and loving it. I have found one to buy and I'd love to hear pro's and con's. I am a machineaholic and have had many good machines, but this machine has stayed with me for years. I mostly quilt, but have need of some more advanced things. I also do embroidery, but probably won't use it much for that. Mostly quilting. Does it have a good 1/4" foot?
    Thanks

    Dear Judi,
You should ask your friend. Her Diamond uses the same 1/4" foot. The two machines are basically the same with just a few tweaks on the newer model.

I have a Viking Platinum and love it. Not as advanced I don't think as the one you are looking at but a true workhorse. Have never had an issue with it. Don't use the embroidery features very much but I do piecing, a small amount of quilting and home dec sewing with it. There is a 'scant' 1/4" 'setting' vs. a 1/4" foot and it's perfect as far as I'm concerned. So far the only thing it hasn't done that I asked was to put a binding on a boat canvas!

The SE LE is the last machine made in Sweden as I am told. It is workhorse. If you find one snatch it up quickly. i did finally trade mine for the Diamond Deluxe . It is a great machine. you will have no regrets.
