I was trying to finish my moms quilt and doing the fmq I got loops on the back. I think I was trying to hurry and finish and it's a little loopy on that one section. Should I take that section out and try to fmq again there or will it hold up?

Do you mean eye-lashes on the curves? Or loops of top thread on the straight stitches?

Eye-lashes can be caused by two problems - tension and or machine/hand speed. The biggest culprit is that your hand speed is too fast on the curves.

If the problem isn't showing up on curved areas then I suspect your top tension is too loose.

How big is the section that needs to be removed?

    Hope this helps.

I would take it out and redo it.

The loopy stitches are going to be prone to catching on things and getting pulled out and exposed like that, the thread is also likely to wear faster. :)

Its here and there in the lower quarter of the quilt. I think I was going too fast cuz I was trying to hurry. Ill take a pic. I don't want to have to redo it but I don't want it coming out in the washer/dryer

    If it's ugly, redo it.

I would re-do that area. It doesn't take that long to take out the stitches, especially if the tension is loopy in the back, and then you will feel like you did the best job you could.

I would redo it. It shouldn't be hard to rip out and redo. It sounds like your needle tension needs to be increased.
