Has anyone here done any shopping there for fabric? I'm going to be going there this weekend. They appear to have a ton of fabric stores, and am wondering if anyone has any tips for specific stores to check out (or avoid).

Don't know about the fashion district but you might want to visit M & L Fabrics in Ahaheim. It's at 3430 W Ball Road near Knotts Berry Farm. I was there in February and thought I'd found fabric paradise.

I love M & L. Couple of tips about shopping there: Give yourself plenty of time, tons of fabric. Try to go with someone else as a lot of the fabric is stacked and it's easier with 2 people to access the stuff on the bottom. The prices get lower as you move to the back of the store.

Here is a page showing the skinny about the district. The last paragraph shows where all the fabrics are....

I would say to wear some really sensible shoes and set yourself a limit on your pocketbook......LOL!

Yeah, I actually live fairly close to there, so we visit it pretty regularly (at least once a month). But I'm up for an "adventure", so hence the visit to the Fashion District :)
