Go and buy more green fabric. As soon as you get home the lost piece will jump out at you.

I did the same thing with some fabric. My DIL wanted a purse made with the ruby slippers fabric from "Wizard of OZ" line. Bought it, washed and pressed it put it away until I was ready to start. Couldn't find it so had to order more. Found it about a month after completion of purse! I had buried it under a stack of fabric!

My binding was 2 feet short. I know there is extra of that green print in my storage area. I just know it. I can see it in my mind.

Did not find it but found a tiny flimsy where I used some of the fabric in the border. Two borders were just enough to finish the binding. I will add the borders when and if I ever find the piece I lost. If I can find the flimsy when I find the fabric.

I do this often...I think it's the Menopause Fairy. She took my memory and left a mustache behind for me. NOT a fair trade...

Do you have a pet who might have taken it? I don't have pets but I have a friend who had a cat who took and hid some of her fabrics.

This is so weird I'm afraid to repeat it. I "lost" 2 blocks that I had left on the dining room table one night. The next morning they were gone-really gone. I have never found them. That was 5 months ago.
