So sorry that such things happen in this world. It is a gorgeous quilt. Like someone said, pray to St.Anthony.
He always comes through.
:St. Anthony, patriot of lost and found please bring Hitherland's quilt around. St. Anthony, St. Anne, return her quilt as fast as you can."

What a shame. Don't give up though. UPS once dropped a big bos in our yard. It wasn't for us but had our address. I called them and they said they'd send someone to pick it up but nobody ever came. A week or so later I heard some new neighbors outside with their new baby and on a hunch asked them if they had been expecting a package. They had been and it was their's.

It'd be nice if a lot of us did that.
(I'm not Catholic, so I've never prayed to St. Anthony for anything in my life..)

They don't seem to get it - i want my quilt back! It's hand pieced, hand appliqued, and hand quilted. I will never get those years back and I refuse to believe that it just disappeared.
And now, to top it all off, it's been juried into the AQS show in Paducah.
If anyone here knows anyone at UPS who can help me, please let me know. My heart is breaking, and the show deadline is coming up at the end of the month.
Thanks, everyone.

This has also happened in our family!
Sister in law UPS a quilt to our neice at her dorm. It was never received.
A friend UPS a quilt to my daughter in North Carolina. Never found!
Thanks for the "lost quilt site" I will talk to them and see if we can recover at least one. The one mailed to my neice would be too late since it happened 30yrs ago.
I have a couple quilts to send to my nephews in Florida and I am "antsy" about doing it!

Hi there, So sorry that someone has done this to you. I feel that seeing your beautiful lost quilt on TV would be the best thing to do if you can arrange that. It is outstanding and would be easily recognisable by anyone who reads this post or watches TV. It could even have been given as a gift to some unsuspecting person. This is not the sort of quilt that could be hidden easily and I feel that publicity would be the best thing to bring it back to you. Best of luck to you, we all feel your pain.LoL.

I am getting more hopeful. I received a call from UPS last night. I do believe they will make a determined effort to look for the quilt today.
Thank you for all your prayers and good thoughts. Things are looking up!
