Low Cost Sewing Table
#22
I have a BabyLock Decorator's Choice which is heavy enough, but I'm SURE it doesn't weigh 100 lbs. lol. Still, how would you make it a nice flat surface for sewing, you know, fill in the "holes" around the machine? I have an extension table that I slide up against the machine bed, but there doesn't look like enough room to use it on that table.

Well my table arrived today and it is very sturdy. It is a laminated gray color and there is an adjustable shelf in the middle of the table. I have my laptop sitting on the adjustable shelf now and will test my sewing machines as far as weight and size this weekend. I will post pictures Saturday since that is my day off from work.
This table is all one piece with sturdy metal legs. It doesn't jiggle at all. I am looking forward to moving my Babylock Quest Plus onto this table and placing my new Bernina in my regular sewing table.

Goody! Goody! Really anxious to hear how the machines do on it. I know the legs look really sturdy and I am really hoping it all works out so I can hit the "Add to Cart' button and get me one, too!!! Good Luck! Don't forget the pix! k

I think the shelf is sturdy enough to hold a machine. It measures 20" L X 9" Deep. The brackets that hold the shelf are very strong and probably stainless tubing. I will take pictures of 3 different machines on the table Saturday and you can judge whether it is a good fit for your machine!
