Default The lower thread tension of my machine is loose

    Hi,
I own a Janome sewing machine, I have been using it for more than 12 years. I see that now the lower thread tension is not right, I mean somewhere loose and somewhere tight. I tried tightening the bobbin screw and even adjusted the upper thread tension. I feel there is something wrong with the machine. Is it time for a machie service? I don't undertand, can somebody please helP.....

I have three Janomes and they recommend they get servieced once a year, that being said, however i don't do that because they are very dependable machines. But since you have owned this one for 12 yrs it might be to your best interest to take it in and have the service person check it all out. My emb. machines (2) get serviced about every three yrs and yet I have never had my model 3500 service at all. Its due!!!

Give everything a good cleaning...bobbin case, thread path, and tension discs. If you still have trouble it is probably due for a check- up.
