Default Luna Soy Soft Batting Experiences?

Does anyone here have experience with the Luna Soy Soft batting - it's 50 % cotton and 50 % soybean fibers. According to the manufacterer you can stitch up to 8" apart, which is great for what I want, but it's also needlepunched. So how does this batting perform when hand quilting? How easy is it to machine quilt? Anyone who has experience with this one, I'd love to hear your opinion!
